About North Shropshire Voluntary Action

North Shropshire Voluntary Action is committed to developing a network of community and voluntary groups to share information and facilitate communication and exists to develop, support and promote a thriving and effective voluntary sector in North Shropshire.

We offer advice, support and information on voluntary issues, and work to further voluntary action.

Membership is free and open to all community and voluntary organisations. If you would like to become a member, please call Joanne Dorricott on 01948 667 650.

Voluntary Action matches volunteers with volunteer involving organisations throughout North Shropshire.

We also hold up to date information on local, national and international voluntary opportunities, as well as providing support and training for volunteers, promoting volunteering in the community and also giving advice and consultancy on good practice in volunteering.

Services include regular mailings, free training courses, newsletters, events, consultation and development work.

North Shropshire Voluntary Action also runs a Volunteering Extra! project to enable those with additional support needs to volunteer, and North Shropshire Care Information Provider which exists to provide health and care information in North Shropshire.
